Airport Adds More Beer-New Reason To Fly to NJ?

We love sitting in an airport people watching. While doing that many of us can be found with a beer in hand, which adds to the entertainment. Newark’s lesser known airport has just announced you can have a few more beers while watching and that’s good news for all.

(March 12, 2009) – Westfield Concession Management (WCM), manager and developer of Continental Airlines’ concession program at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) Terminal C, welcomes Guinness, Heineken, Sam Adams, and Vino Volo as they join the Brooklyn Jazz Bar in completing Terminal C’s roster of thirst quenching watering holes for busy travelers. Each new bar offers a sophisticated post-security respite for travelers looking to kick-off their trip with a celebratory drink or to escape the crowded terminal and enjoy a quiet cocktail in a cozy atmosphere.

“Beer brats and wine aficionado’s can rejoice now that some of the world’s best brews and wine flights will be available before take-off.” said Dominic Lowe, Vice President – Airports, Westfield Concession Management. “We are proud to welcome these new additions to our food and beverage line-up and offer them to our travelling guests as they are a destination in themselves.”

Each venue offers an array of beverage options. Vino Volo (derived from “wine flight” in Italian) offers hand-selected wines from around the world by the glass, in themed tasting flights of small pours, and by the bottle for retail customers to take home or have shipped.

The Heineken Lounge, operated by Delaware North Travel Hospitality Services, is Heineken USA’s first branded luxury airport bar offering quality Heineken products, premium, gourmet snacks and light meals in addition to private cabanas and flat screen TV’s.

The GUINNESS® Irish Pub, also operated by Delaware North Travel Hospitality Services, is an authentic Irish pub featuring traditional Irish food offerings and a full selection of GUINNESS branded beverages including Smithwicks® Irish Ale and Harp® Lager. Delaware North Travel Hospitality will also operate the Samuel Adams® bar and restaurant and will be bringing one of America’s best authentic ales to beer lovers everywhere.
